KR declares new vision
Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 17:44:09 Paul Yoon ckyoon7@paran.com
Korean Register (KR), Korean classification player, has unveiled a new vision along with its new logo in celebration of the 57th anniversary of its establishment.

KR said on June 19 that it declares on June 20 the new vision of ‘Providing the best services and Creating a better world’ in celebration of the 57th Anniversary.

Lee Jeong Kie, Chairman and CEO of KR, said in a commemorative address, “The new vision declaration delivers all KR staff members’ firm determination pledging to provide the best services to its customers in order to create a safer and newer world.”

KR revealed its new vision together with new logo. The KR’s new logo is slightly revised from the existing one in 14 years to a minimum in an effort to avoid confusion in-house and outside with a particular emphasis on its future orientation.

Commenting on its new logo, KR said: “The new logo stresses the role of KR as a balancer for classification. The elliptical outward shape in blue color stands for the oceans, and the name of KR is laid out in the center of the logo to schematize the role of KR as a meson interacting in the eco-system.”

KR added: “The new logo is to level up KR’s reliability built up over the half of the last century and convey KR’s unchanged pledge to protect in next 100 years ahead the safety of human lives and assets at sea as the core value of KR. The new logo is set to be applied to all KR’s certificates and reporting documents effective from upcoming Sept. 1 this year.”

KR’s Chairman and CEO Lee Jeong Kie said, “Though classification market climate looks challenging this year due to the frozen shipping markets with the throat-cutting competition among classification players which is caused by the Korean government-survey rights opened to foreign classification players, all of the KR’s staff members will be united into one to provide the best services and do their utmost to ensure in-house substance and stability.”
