Grand Blue wins MOSF prize on ‘Taxpayers Day’

Grand Blue Co., Ltd., a Korean shipbroker, was awarded with Minister of Strategy and Finance (MOSF)’s prize on ‘49th ‘Taxpayers’ Day’.

D. Y. Ji, president and ceo of Grand Blue, was honored to receive MOSF’s prize on last Mar. 3 at Jongno District Tax Office, Seoul, at an award ceremony in celebration of 49th Taxpayers’ Day, in recognition of his faithful fulfillment of tax payment duty since his company establishment contributing to the government’s treasure in 2006 as well as of his taking the lead by example to establish healthy tax payment climate.

CEO D. Y. Ji said at his award acceptance speech at the award ceremony in the day: “I wish to convey my thanks to my staff members who have paid their best efforts to development of Grand Blue thus far. Not sitting idle satisfied with our achievement made to this day, we will add our part of contribution to development of Korea’s shipping service industries and success of our customers.”

CEO D. Y. Ji was awarded with MOSF’s prize in recognition of his high credit for transparent management practiced over the past 9 years since the company establishment under the motto of ‘honesty, autonomy, happiness and sharing,’ and for the company’s vision focused on management aimed at the success of customers at home and abroad.

CEO D. Y. Ji graduated from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, entered in 1980 Hyundai Merchant Marine, where he worked on shore and at sea for 4 years, followed by his 21 year service at GS Caltex, where he worked on chartering tankers including products and chemical carriers. Based on such earned experience, CEO Ji has been ship-broking charters of products carriers and chemical tankers as well as newbuilding projects and S&P deals.
