Incheon Port Authority (IPA) has won Korean Society of Supply Chain Management (KSCM) Grand Prix Award for this year.
Marking 11th year for 2012, KSCM Grand Prix Awards Ceremony took place at the Convention Hall of aT Center, Yangjae-dong in Seoul on Nov. 9. The award is annually given by KSCM to enterprises that have achieved outstanding business results and made a big contribution to development of domestic supply chain management (SCM) and to logistics service in compliance with a strategic business ideal of SCM which KSCM has adopted.
KSCM unveiled that it has selected IPA as the winner of KSCM Grand Prix Award 2012, the best logistics player, in consideration of IPA’s sustained growth of container traffics and healthy performance in sales and net profit and in appreciation of IPA which had also won ‘CEO Award for Most Ethical Enterprise in Korea’ from Fortune Korea last March, and ‘Korea Distribution Grand Prix Award’ from Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Korea while IPA had been nominated as ‘Excellent Enterprise for Win-Win Partnership between Labor and Management’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and as ‘Outstanding Enterprise with Social Responsibility for Shared Growth’ jointly by Ministry of Knowledge and Economy and National Commission for Corporate Partnership.
Meantime, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) won KSCM Grand Prix Award for manufacturing; Samsung SDS, for consultancy; Neo Systems, for information service while Cha Seok-Yong, president & ceo of LG Household & Healthcare, won personal KSCM Grand Prix Award.
